Vinyl Record

*
*

Sound (analogue information) can be recorded directly on a vinyl record as a series of lumps within a long spiral groove.

These lumps cause the needle to move up and down and this generates an analogue electrical signal which matches the analogue sound wave.

The analogue electrical signal is sent to the amplifier where energy is added to it, then to the loudspeaker where it makes the cone move to create sound.
